The Inconsequential Moments

I was sitting at the local coffee shop on the weekend and my husband teased me about the amount of crumbs I dropped while I ate my raisin toast. It was an inconsequential moment, but it made me smile and thank the Lord for sending me this precious man. It made me thank the Lord for laughter. And, because I could share this moment with not only my husband, but also the Lord, it made the moment not so inconsequential.

Our lives are made up of a string of inconsequential moments that can pass without notice or thought. But when we share everything with our Lord, the big moments, the little moments and the inconsequential moments become transformed into poignant moments, special moments, blessed moments.

This is when I realised that there is nothing inconsequential about our lives. Our Lord knows this. Do you?

My wife is better at noticing those moments than I.

Nothing escapes Him. Each and
every thing, no matter how
small and seemingly insigificant,
the Lord sees it all and I love
that He is there in each moment
with us whether we feel Him or
not. In the good times and bad,
He shares it all with us because
He is a part of our very being.
I am also blessed with a wonderful
husband who teases me because I
tend to get something on my shirt
almost daily, whatever I'm doing,
eating or otherwise.

That's the difference when it comes to Him. He is just so faithful that everything that happens in our lives is important to Him. I know what you mean about those moments. I have a lot of those with my own hubby. But I believe these moments are woven into bigger moments that just makes the relationship a great package as a whole!

God bless.

Alex, you made me laugh.

Sandy, our Lord shares with us His love and His presence and it's so wonderful to share our lives with Him.

Rcubes, yes, absolutely, the moments are woven into a whole. Blessings

Oh, how I thank God that I MATTER to Him - and every moment of my life was written in His book before I was ever born! That makes every inconsequential moment completely meaningful!

GOD BLESS!

I'm glad "the Lord thinketh on me."
He knows every little nook and cranny
and cares about us. Even the little
inconsequential moments when we laugh with our husbands over silly little things.

Hi Lynda,

Very interesting example of consequential moments that we generally tend to miss. It was wonderful of your husband to notice and make it a moment to remember and cherish.

As you said every moment of our lives is very precious.

Best wishes,
Joseph

Our whole life would be inconsequential if it weren't for moments like these.
