Wallpaper of the Week – Psalm 25:4

When we walk the ways of the world
we become desensitised and dehumanised.

When we walk the ways of our Lord,
we walk in His Glory,
we shine with His love,
we live in His Salvation.

Wallpaper of the Week – John 15:5

A few years ago a need arose in my church for someone to run a service, including giving the sermon. I had never done anything like it. I was shy, I stumbled over my words, I blushed and I was just not into the public speaking thing. It was an impossible task.

Jesus asked the disciples to find food to feed thousands of people. It wasn’t like they could pop down to the local shops and buy supplies. They didn’t have enough food, they didn’t have enough money, and they didn’t have enough time to mess around because the people were hungry now. It was an impossible task.

But nothing is impossible with God.

I put pen to paper and then God gave me the words. God gave me the courage to stand in front of the entire congregation. It wasn’t my strength or my steady voice. That was all God. I only listened, trusted and obeyed.

The disciples listened to Jesus and obeyed him. They found a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish. It was Jesus who did the impossible and made the food plentiful enough to go around.

God doesn’t ask us to do the impossible, He asks us to listen, trust, and obey.

Wallpaper of the Week - John 3:16

I love caving. I love exploring the depths of the earth. It's fun and exciting and appeals to my sense of adventure.

The image above is in a cave system in Victoria, Australia. What you see is not the entrance to the caves, but a mere hole in the cave ceiling where the light is able to shine through. This is the only area in the otherwise dusty caves where there is such life.

Jesus is this life-giving light for us. If we choose not to bask in His glory, then we will wither and die. But if we do choose His light, then we will grow to be strong and vibrant.

Wallpaper of the Week - 1 Peter 5:7

I snapped this photo along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. My husband and I took a side trip up a dirt road and found this view. It's such a beautiful place.

Cast your anxiety on the Lord today. He cares for us so deeply that He wants to carry the weight of our troubles.

Wallpaper of the Week - Psalm 106:1

This is a view of the coastline looking towards Wollongong, south of Sydney, Australia.

Psalm 106:1 is a wonderful verse to meditate on. We truly can praise our Lord because He truly is good and His love really does last forever.

Amen.

Wallpaper of the Week - Mark 12:30

This photo was taken from the top of a hill in the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. When I see views like this I can't help but think of God and all His wonderful works.

Wallpaper of the Week - Ephesians 2:10

Lest We Forget

Tomorrow is Anzac Day in Australia. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. It is a day of remembrance. Please spare a prayer for all those who fought to protect their country - not just in WW1, but in all the wars, in all the military actions. Please pray too for their families.

Wallpaper of the Week - Philippians 4:13

I took this photo on my adventure at Danger Bay, a place I posted about in March. Against the odds this plant was able to take root and grow in what seems the most unlikely of places. God gives us strength to do everything, even the most unlikely of things.

Wallpaper of the Week - Philippians 2:5

I've actually forgotten where I took this. I know it was taken during another driving holiday I enjoyed with my husband. It was definitely still in NSW, Australia, but I'm not 100% sure of the exact location. That will teach me not to label my photos!

Wallpaper of the Week - Romans 1:20

This photo was taken on the southern coast of Victoria, Australia. Even though there were few people around, I had to wait ages for a clear shot. I didn't mind the wait because it was so peaceful there.
