In the Light

The picture above is a pigmy pigface that grows around my mailbox. The flowers only bloom in spring and they only open in the light of the day. They close again at night.

We are like these vibrant flowers. We bloom when we turn our faces to God’s light. But we wither in the darkness. His light alone makes us glorious.

Our Lord sustains us. He wraps us in His warmth, His love, His care. He gives us everything we need to grow and blossom into the people we are meant to be.

So, turn your face to our Lord and soak in His goodness and His blessings.

Yes, I desire to be wrapped in the Lord's warmth and goodness, looking upon the light of my Creator, growing in His love.
May your Spring be filled with sweet fragrances as the Autumnal season appears here.
loving you, ~ linda

Absolutely beautiful flowers! I love how you used them as an analogy of who we are through Christ! We shine because of Him only and nothing else!

I planted these too. they were beautiful. and yes they only bloomed in the spring. But mine died in the hot sun. They were the beauty of my spring garden though. I love how you wove the story to say that we wither in darkness. Shine Jesus Shine - Let the whole world see your Glory - in me.
