Only through God do we find true satisfaction in our lives because He gives us purpose and fulfilment. So, what is satisfaction?
Satisfaction is contentment: being satisfied with everything we have no matter our circumstances. (Philippians 4:12 NIV)
Satisfaction is the absence of fear: we are able to trust God with all aspects of our lives. And in that trust we don’t need to fear anything. (Hebrews 13:6 NIV)
Satisfaction comes from being equipped: The more we learn about God, the more we are prepared to face anything that life throws at us. If we learn His ways then we will respond more in His ways also. And peace will be ours. (Philippians 4:9 NIV)
Satisfaction is dependant on saturation: The more we allow God in our lives the more His power becomes evident and the less likely we will take Him for granted. (Luke 9:23 NIV)
Satisfaction is dependant on fellowship: Through fellowship we are encouraged, strengthened. We find a sense of belonging in the family of Christ. (Hebrews 3:13 NIV)
What areas in your life do you know your satisfaction takes a hit?

I struggle with fear. I am trying so hard to give all my fears to God and trust in HIM. I am doing better and with all this is coming more understanding.
The first sentence of this post really hooked me in. It is so true.
Fear is a big one for me too, Alexis. When I start to grow fearful I know I've let my relationship with God slide a bit. It's a wake up call of sorts which tells me I'm trusting myself rather than God. The moment I trust Him again, my fears disappear.
Fear is big for me too. Lately I seem to be driven by my circumstances and am defeated and struggle with even having any joy. Life stinks for me now. I know it's my attitude...but fear makes you believe lies.
Thanks for this encouragement..I will ponder it this week, and try to make adjustments in my heart and attitude.
Pray for me!
xoxo
great reminder :)
Fear is one of the Devil's tools, we can have perfect peace, but looking to our Jesus, it is when we get our eyes off him that Satan comes in with all his wiles, this is good I love Scripture, Barbara
I love this post! I love how you take one word and break it down for us! Your second point really hit home with me.
you have my prayers, Mari
great words...being satisfied. Most days I am satisfied...but there are other days I just want to move faster than I am...
Fear is my struggle, too...I know I should trust completely, but sometimes questions slither in when I am focusing on circumstances, instead of Him...
Saturation...now that is a good word...I want to be totally saturated in His presence....
Yes, I want that too, Karen :)
