Prison Break

Once we stumbled in the dark,
blinded by our pride.
We were lost with nowhere to go.
We were imprisoned in chains
with no hope and no future.

Once we were doomed.

Then Jesus came.
He cast a light in our prison cell.
He broke those chains.
He set us free.

The debt we owed was cancelled.
The slate we tarnished was wiped clean.

Forevermore.

We are loved.
We are saved.
We are God’s Children.

Oh, this just calls out to me
to cross stitch and hang on
my wall so I can see it at
all times. Did you write
this, Lynda?
Blessings,
Sandy
