This cry from the cross, this agony drawn out in a bloody breath, spoke volumes of Jesus’ love for us. He saved us despite the evil things we did to him. He saved us despite the agony he went through. He saved us because he knew it wasn’t about him; it wasn’t about the moment; it wasn’t about the decay in our actions, thoughts and hearts. It was, and is, about God’s Love.
On the cross Jesus touched our hearts and spoke to our souls. When he rose again, he changed us forever. How can we not respond to such a love?

Beyond responding to this love, can we, in turn, say "please forgive them" about the people who harm us (and in far less painful/traumatic ways)?

Obedience and thankfulness are a Christians best response to the cross. Jesus said, if you love me you will do what I say.
.. it's time to open our eyes at last!

Such agonizing words from our Lord as He hung on the cross. Even when He was being crucified, His thoughts were not one Himself. So humbling.
