Looking for God

It’s important to look for God even when we know He is here. I find God in creation, in the vast blue Australian skies, in the rocky coastlands, in the white sands of our beaches.

I find God in the vibrancy of colour, in the perfection of a rose, in the sunrise over water and moonlight on a quiet night.

I find God in the taste of foods, in the smell of summer rain, in the creativity of the human mind.

I find God in a smile, a tear of joy, in an act of kindness and the sound of worship.

But God is also with me when I suffer, when I grieve and when I ache. God is there when I am lonely, when I struggle and when I’m afraid. He is everywhere at all times. If I look for Him, I will find Him.

Where do you find God?

Beautiful post, Lynda! Thank you for the reminder to look for God in everything around me! I was just taking a walk last night and marveling at the buds coming to life on the trees.

Lynda, amen. I once read if we don't see God in everything, then we aren't really looking for Him.

Thank you so much guys.

Jody, there is something special about spring. I'm moving into autumn here and the cooler nights are WONDERFUL.

Rose, that's so very true. God will never hide from us. He wants us to see Him.

One of the most profound truths in the Bible is that God is always with us, but sometimes as Christians, we drift away from Him. The good news is that as soon as we reach out to our Heavenly Father, He will be there to take us back.

I really enjoyed reading your blog. May our Lord continue to bless you. God bless, Lloyd
